Peacelights

Peacelights promotes inner and outer peace through an integrated approach that joins in-depth emotional education with vibrant social activism.

Peacelights is based on the idea that conflicts large and small, whether within the individual or between nations, are fundamentally interconnected. This is one of the key insights of the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. Jung believed that we deny certain parts of our true selves in order to conform to cultural expectations. These “shadows,” though hidden in the unconscious, give rise to persecution, shame, and victimhood, as we seek to eradicate in others what we have denied in ourselves.

Perhaps the greatest cultural shadow of our time is that of the feminine. We all have masculine and feminine qualities inside us, yet for millennia our culture has refused to let us express both the feminine and the masculine freely and openly, in the way that is best for each of us.

By altering cultural shadows, we can advance peace at every level: in ourselves, in our personal relationships, and the world at large. We can become a network of lights shining brilliantly for peace.
